Jeremiah 3:15 says “And I will give you pastors according to Mine heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Meet Pastor Maurice Vincent aka “Pastor Mo”, a dynamic preacher, an awesome teacher, but most of all a man after God’s own heart. If you’ve ever come into contact with him, you will instantly know that Pastor Vincent is called to love people.

He was born in Roanoke Va. to Bishop Mack Vincent Sr. and Mother Barbara Vincent. He has one sibling (brother) Mack Vincent Jr. Growing up as a Pastor’s kid, he has served the church wholeheartedly in every capacity of ministry. Pastor attended the Henrico County School system and graduated from Henrico High School in 1997. He later attended Virginia State University and William Bonner Bible College where he earned his associates degree in Biblical study. In 2023, he earned his Master of Divinity from Virginia Union Theological Seminary.

In 1999, Pastor accepted his calling to ministry and preached his first message “It’s All about Jesus”. Not knowing this would be the framework of his life and the theological foundation of his ministry. In 2003 he was ordained an elder in the Churches Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Inc.

Though his life is dedicated to families, church, and the community, his family is his greatest accomplishment. Since 2003, Pastor Vincent has successfully been married to the love of his life, Lady Calandra Vincent. Together they are proud parents of Marquis and Mya Vincent. When asked how can you maintain a successful marriage? He will tell you to just take it one day at a time.

Pastor loves spending close intimate time with his family. Firing up the grill on the back deck enjoying good music and good food creates a good time. He enjoys competitive sports, but he loves football which he played in high school. He has enjoyed coaching little league sports while supporting his son and daughter playing multiple sports and cheerleading. “Enjoy these years because you will never get them back.” His love for football has led him to be a life time San Francisco 49ers fan.

One of the main theological principles Pastor Vincent teaches is that the two most important days of a person’s life are: one the day you were born and two the day you realize why. “I know that I am called to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to this generation. Therefore, I embrace the will of God for my life.” Pastor has served faithfully as a youth pastor, assist pastor, pastor elect, and in multiple leadership capacities including pastor for several years in the Baptist church. After being developed by the journey of his ministry for over 26 years, Pastor Vincent found out what his why was. With divine timing and the support of a few people that saw the authenticity of who he is, he started Innovation Church Ministries.
